About Us
Company History
In 1975, Charlie Smith established Charlie's Pest Control, a pest control business in Mexico, Missouri. Health issues forced Mr. Smith to retire His two sons, Rick and Kevin Smith, purchased the company in 2001 and renamed it to Bugout Pest Control. The business continued to expand and prosper. Eventually, lawn care was added to the list of services in 2010.
When Rick and Kevin were unable to find a local plumber for a project, they realized that there was a potential market for plumbing services in Mexico and its surrounding communities. With more than 40 years of business experience, the duo was more than capable of taking on a new business venture. They founded Flowmaster Plumbing LLC in 2005.
They soon discovered that plumbing often involves concrete and drywall restoration. Another opportunity presented itself, and they added concrete and construction to their repertoire. In 2008, Kevin's wife, Kelli, joined the team as an administrative assistant.
In the past couple of years, an increased number of calls regarding water standing in basements and crawl spaces opened up another door. Assuming the water was coming from a basement floor drain or being caused by another plumbing issue, clients would contact our sister company, Flowmaster Plumbing LLC, only to discover that the water was from foundation issues.
In several instances, we could properly remedy the problem by filling basement wall cracks and/or utilizing deadmen to pull back the bowing walls. However, more severe cases of foundation failure required a more aggressive approach.
After researching foundation repair options, we found that PermaJack® offered the most reliable and advanced system. Kevin and Rick recruited qualified employees to form PermaJack of Mid Mo LLC.
